2014

Dagnesses' campaign website listed the following issues:

  • Job Creation/Economy: "Job creation is not a Democrat or Republican issue, it's a common sense issue. As a proven business leader with real world experience, I will work hard to remove government roadblocks for businesses. Government should stop impeding startups. Government often makes it impossible for businesses to keep their doors open with over-regulation and taxation."
  • Health Care: "I will fight to repeal Obamacare. Obamacare lacks common sense solutions and is costing Americans millions of dollars. We must move away from our bureaucracy driven, third-party payment system, and focus on a new patient-centered system of consumer choice. With market-based health care solutions, we will have lower costs and better quality of care."
  • Taxes: "The federal tax code is approximately 74,000 pages long. Every year, hundreds of millions of dollars and hours are spent by individuals and businesses just trying to figure out the tax code. I will work to reform the tax code so that it is simple, understandable and fair."
  • Energy: "Our country has sustainable energy sources that we must tap into in order to build an affordable domestic energy program. I support removing and streamlining regulations to open doors for our companies to invest in our own oil and natural gas supply. We will unleash the American entrepreneurial spirit once we no longer depend on foreign countries who do not share our same principles of freedom and liberties."
  • National Security: "Peace through strength must be a critical component of our defense strategy. By maintaining an advanced military, our enemies will think twice before initiating any harmful action."
