- <p>I would strive to promote economic development in my area of the State. I feel this would not require any additional funds. This would require effort on behalf of the Legislators and other local officials. Current State funds are available for economic development. </p><p>I would support and encourage reduction in the grocery tax for the State of Mississippi. Funds to offset this would have to be derived from other current sources of revenue, or cut spending. </p>
