REPORT: DNI Working To Declassify Documents Showing John Brennan Withheld Exculpatory Info
May 14, 2020On Wednesday, Acting Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell advanced the process of revealing the irrefutable abuse of power committed by the intelligence community throughout their probe against President Trump, with the declassification of key documents revealing several instances in which members of the former President Obama’s administration allowed inherently false information to later be used to introduce to the FISA courts and obtain a spy warrant against President Trump and his campaign.
Now, Fox News chief White House correspondent Ed Henry claims that more bombshell documents are in the works of being declassified by President Trump’s spy chief, this time focusing on former CIA Director John Brennan, who allegedly withheld exculpatory details from intelligence agencies in order to create a negative preconceived notion about President Trump regarding Russian interference in the 2016 election.
Check out what the Washington Examiner reported below:
President Trump's spy chief is reportedly declassifying information that shows CIA Director John Brennan "suppressed" intelligence on Russia wanting Hillary Clinton to win the 2016 election.
Fox News chief White House correspondent Ed Henry said Tuesday evening that "it could get sticky" for Brennan, who served as CIA director under President Barack Obama, due to his role in developing the 2017 intelligence community assessment on Russian election interference that determined with "moderate" to "high" confidence that Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Kremlin sought to boost Trump's 2016 election chances.
"There's other intel that may have been more serious suggesting that Russia wanted Hillary Clinton to win, rather than balancing that out in the assessment they put out there in that assessment, and set the narrative that Russia wanted Trump to win," Henry reported on Tucker Carlson Tonight.
According to Henry, the extent to which John Brennan abused his power to hurt President Trump will be revealed in a slew of four to five documents that will be declassified in just a matter of days.
John Brennan has already been under increased scrutiny by the Justice Department since Attorney General Barr tapped United States prosecutor John Durham to investigate the early actions of the intelligence community’s investigation against President Trump late last year, and the probe has since been expanded into an all-out criminal investigation.
John Durham is reportedly examining the communications of high ranking individuals like Brennan, to determine whether or not exculpatory information was purposefully withheld from agencies that issued concerns on the credibility of their key informant British spy Christopher Steele, who drafted the infamous ‘Steele dossier’ with the help of being funded in part by the DNC and Hillary Clinton’s campaign.
Recent actions from the United States prosecutor has led many prominent figures within the Republican party to offer their opinions on the massive probe from the Justice Department, suggesting that the release of the report is imminent. President Trump also shared a tweet last month claiming that criminal indictments will come about as a result of the findings in the investigation.
