Republicans Shuts Down Media Event, Holds Up Sign Exposing Schiff/Nadler Hypocrisy
January 24, 2020Democratic Reps. Adam Schiff and Jerry Nadler were selected as House manages to present the Democrats "case" at the Senate trial this week before the U.S. Senate -- and it has not been going well.
Ratings have tanked for the Schiff show and more Americans by the day are against impeaching and removing President Donald Trump from office.

While Schiff and Nadler spent all of Wednesday and Thursday practically begging Americans to believe Trump is a threat to our democracy and must be removed from office -- one Republican senator just exposed their hypocrisy with a single piece of paper.
Republican Sen. Joni Ernst responded directly the the charge by Democrats that Trump withheld aid from Ukraine by holding a sign showing votes against Ukraine aid from Schiff and Nadler.
“Ernst just held a feisty presser accusing House managers of being hypocritical by lecturing senators on Trump’s hold on Ukraine aid when they voted against the last defense bill that included aid to Ukraine. She held up a paper with their votes,” Bobic said.
This response by Ernst to the Democrat House managers echoes Texas GOP Sen. Ted Cruz, who asked where Democrats were when former President Barack Obama denied aide to the embattled Ukraine during his second term.
“If there is such a compelling national security interest to give military aide to Ukraine, then what do these House Democrats have to say about the years that Barack Obama refused to give lethal military aide to Ukraine?” Cruz asked on Thursday.
Late last year, Robert O’Brien — currently Trump’s National Security Advisor — appeared on CBS’s “Face the Nation” and talked about the lack of Ukraine aid provided by the Obama administration.
“I was there as part of a bipartisan election observation mission and I had young Ukrainian soldiers and young Ukrainians come up to me and say, ‘Why won’t the U.S., the arsenal of democracy, send us lethal aid? You’re sending us blankets and MREs. Why won’t President Obama send us military aid?’”
“When President Trump got into office, he sent military aid,” O’Brien said during the interview.
Former NSC Senior Director for European Affairs Tim Morrison, who listened to Trump’s call with Zelensky, testified last Wednesday that the president did not discuss anything illegal during the conversation.
Morrison testified that Ukrainian officials didn't know certain U.S. military funding had been delayed by the Trump administration until late August 2019, which was more than a month after the Trump-Zelensky call.
This destroys the Democrats argument that Trump told Zelensky on the July 25 that he had to reopen the investigation into the Biden's shady family business deals in order to receive the military funding.
Philip Reeker, one of the top U.S. diplomats to Europe, also testified this week that he did not know U.S. security aid was withheld to pressure Ukraine's new president to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden.
Democrats claim Trump withheld $391 million in military aid from Ukraine in exchange for them investigation Biden.
Reeker testified that he had no knowledge of that at all.
