Silent No More: Armed St. Louis Homeowner Says BLM Protesters Threatened to Kill Her, Move into Home
July 7, 2020You may recall in recent days that a husband and wife in St. Louis faced off against a group of several hundred Black Lives Matter demonstrators after they smashed through a gate and invade private property.
While the vast majority of the ‘mainstream’ media painted the two homeowners as white racist kooks taking up arms against defenseless black demonstrators, the truth of what really happened is much different, as is so often the case.

In an interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity, Patricia McCloskey, who was seen brandishing a handgun as a mob of demonstrators filled a private drive in front of their home, broke her silence.
“[They said] that they were going to kill us," she said Monday night. "They were going to come in there. They were going to burn down the house. They were going to be living in our house after I was dead, and they were pointing to different rooms and said, 'That’s going to be my bedroom and that’s going to be the living room and I’m going to be taking a shower in that room.’”
“People were screaming everything,” added husband Mark McCloskey, who armed himself with an AR-15 semi-auto carbine.
The couple said the ‘peaceful’ protesters threatened to kill their dog.
“They said 'I’m going to be killing her, too,” Patricia McCloskey added.
Not satisfied with terrorizing the couple once, another Leftist mob returned on Friday, but the couple was ready for them.
“We got a tip that the people were coming back and they were coming back specifically for us and to get us and to burn the house," Mark McCloskey, an attorney, said. "We started trying to get private security. We had been told that the city police have been ordered to stand down.”
“Thursday afternoon, we started hiding valuables and securing the house,” he said, noting that the protesters were loud but non-violent. And again, they had broken onto private property.
“We had a good routine on Friday. The local police stood up like champs and we had our own security. Everything happened just like it’s supposed to happen. The crowd was loud but they weren’t allowed to do anything wrong.”
Mind you, for defending themselves, the local prosecuting attorney, St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kimberly Gardner, a Democrat, announced she was considering charges against the couple.
“I am alarmed at the events that happened over the weekend, where peaceful protesters were met by guns and a violent assault,” Gardner said in a statement. “We must protect the right to peacefully protest, and any attempt to chill it through intimidation or threat of deadly force will not be tolerated.”
Apparently, Gardner has forgotten that Missouri has a “Stand Your Ground” law which enables people to use deadly force to defend themselves if they fear for their lives in public spaces.

U.S. Law Shield notes:
Missouri has a law that allows citizens to defend themselves in public areas. There is not a duty to retreat. Sometimes referred to as a Stand Your Ground law, in Missouri, if you have a legal right to be in a location, then you also have a right to protect yourself if you’re in imminent threat of deadly harm.
That law also extends to the protection of others under the same philosophy. If they’re under imminent threat of deadly harm, then you can protect someone else. However, you cannot be in the course of committing a different crime (for example, you can’t be trespassing), in order to invoke the Stand Your Ground law.
