Stephen Miller attacks Biden's immigration plan in first tweet

Right after leaving the White House, former Trump senior adviser Stephen Miller fired off his first tweet, attacking President Joe Biden’s slew of proposed immigration policies.
Miller’s tweet came after Biden was sworn in as the 46th president of the United States Wednesday, calling for unity in his inaugural speech amid a litany of national crises. The Biden administration released details of a broad immigration bill Wednesday, and Biden is expected to shortly issue immigration executive orders that sharply buck the Trump administration’s tough-on-immigration approach.
“Today, [Biden] pledged to be a president for all Americans,” Miller wrote in the tweet. “It’s unclear how all Americans are served by opening travel from terror hot spots, proposing a giant amnesty, or halting the installation of security barriers along the Southwest border.”
Miller, an immigration hardliner, appears to be opposing a key part of Biden’s immigration plan, which would give 11 million undocumented people a way to become citizens, as well as Biden’s call to rely more on technology in border security efforts, not focusing on walls like former President Donald Trump.
Biden is planning to end Trump’s so-called Muslim ban, a travel ban on several majority-Muslim countries, which also seemed to draw Miller’s ire.
Miller served in Trump’s administration for all four years, a rarity in the turbulent White House. He was behind many of the administration’s biggest immigration initiatives, including the administration’s family separation policy.
