TRUTH: Coronavirus Cases are Failing in Hard-Hit States, Not Rising
August 3, 2020The so-called “mainstream media” no longer exists as an institution designed to keep American citizens informed about the pressing issues of the day – issues that are of vital importance to them.
Instead, it has become nothing more than a propaganda tool for Left-wing Democratic political, cultural, and social priorities.
If all of the fake news stories claiming President Trump was a ‘Russian stooge’ and that he and Moscow worked to ‘steal the election’ from Hillary weren’t enough to convince you of that, then the demonstrably false narratives the MSM is pushing about coronavirus should.

For weeks now, we’ve been inundated with stories about how COVID-19 cases are on the rise especially in the mostly-red South, the implication being, of course, that Republican governors are oafs and losers who don’t ‘follow the science’ surrounding coronavirus and are trying to kill their citizens.
In fact, while cases did rise (thanks in large part to immigration from Mexico, legal and otherwise), they aren’t anymore, but you won’t hear or see CNN, MSNBC, the Washington Post, or The New York Times tell you that.
But, here are the facts: According to an analysis by Axios (certainly not a Right-wing outlet), coronavirus cases are falling around the U.S. generally, and especially in hardest-hit states:
Coronavirus infections in the U.S. are beginning to decline, after a summer of sharp increases, and some of the hardest-hit states are improving significantly...
Two of the worst hotspots in the country, Arizona and Texas, experienced more significant declines in their caseloads: 16% and 21%, respectively.
Arizona has been getting better for a few weeks now, and though Texas still has a long way to go to make up for the spikes it saw in June and early July, it may be beginning to turn things around.
But the analysis also makes some familiar mistakes (intentionally, we don’t know): One, that cases keep rising (they do); that testing is “unable to keep up with demand” (overall, that’s not true); and that “the U.S.” remains “in a bad place” lacking “a coherent strategy” to contain the virus’ spread.

Perhaps the writers and analysts at Axios skilled Civics 101, but it’s not up to the Trump administration (or any presidential administration) to develop all-encompassing ‘containment’ policies.
We’re not a socialist-leaning democracy where the head of the country is also the head of all government. We’re comprised of 50 semi-autonomous entities called states, and they are managed primarily by governors and state legislatures. The Trump administration has been responsible for banging out decent tests in record time and for providing aid and assistance where it can (ditto for our divided Congress).
And here’s something else that cannot be emphasized enough: In addition to the fact that ‘coronavirus deaths’ are being wildly inflated, a positive test does not mean that person is stricken ill with COVID-19. In fact, in the vast majority of instances, coronavirus victims experience no symptoms or very mild ones.
Bottom line: Sweden got along just fine without nonsensical, liberty-stealing lockdowns. They’re emerging from the pandemic because health authorities there essentially allowed the country’s people to develop herd immunity.
Oh, and their leaders didn’t politicize the disease for self-serving reasons, either.
