Two men suspected in the kidnapping of a Utah woman were arrested Thursday, the Unified Police Department of Kearns, Utah, announced in a press release.

Orlando Esiesa Tobar, age 29, and 21-year-old Jorge Rafael Medina Reyes were taken into custody on charges of aggravated kidnapping and aggravated murder. 

Conzuelo “Nicole” Solorio-Romero, 25, has been missing from Kearns, a suburb of Salt Lake City, since Feb. 6. Police now fear that she may be dead after finding evidence that she was shot and potentially fatally wounded at a secondary location.

A white pickup believed to have been used to transport Solorio-Romero's body was recovered, and a gun that takes the same bullets as the one found at the secondary location was discovered at one of the suspect's homes.

Police released a photo identifying Solorio-Romero, as well as video surveillance footage that appears to show her being forcibly put into a 2010 green Toyota Camry about 2:30 p.m. on the day of her kidnapping.

Law enforcement did not comment on the suspected motive behind her the potential murder, and the Unified Police Department did not immediately respond to The Hill's request for comment.

Julianna Bersamin said she received a call from her sister, Solorio-Romero, that day.

"She was crying and saying that there was three men that were threatening her with a gun and to get out of the house,” Bersamin told KSLTV.

Bersamin is optimistic her sister will be found alive.

“I’m staying positive, I’m hoping for the best," she added.

Law enforcement did not disclose a suspected motive behind the potential murder, and the Unified Police Department did not immediately respond to The Hill's request for comment.
