“He hit him first,” said a crowd member as the police surrounded the man who assaulted the Trump supporter.
Check out what the Daily Caller reported on the matter:
“He didn’t do nothing, what is he being detained for?” a man asked the police. A verbal confrontation began with police, with the group making it clear they were not happy about the man being arrested. Police repeatedly warn the protesters to stay behind the barricade.
“Let him go!” someone in the crowd started chanting once the man was led away in handcuffs. The protesters tried to follow the officers who were leading the suspect away, and the police formed a line to hold the group back.
A smaller group began to physically fight with police, and a man in a teal shirt was detained.
“F*ck you and your Hitler mustache, you f*cking racist b*tch” a protester yelled at a police officer, following the arrest.
A crowd demanded answers from police after another protester was arrested later Tuesday night.
“Why was he arrested?” multiple people from the crowd repeat, including one person with a megaphone.
Tensions have been rising as left-wing protests continue to take place throughout the country. On Saturday morning in Seattle, Washington, a 24-year old woman was killed at the Black Femme March after she and a group of protesters decided to block the freeway to protest.
Summer Taylor was killed after she was struck by Dawit Kelete, a black 27-year old man who graduated from Washington State University.

Check out what the Daily Wire reported:
The tragic incident was caught on video, which shows the vehicle driving at a high speed into the crowd of protesters and sending Taylor and the other protester, Diaz Love, a 32-year-old from Portland, flying into the air. Police say their initial investigation indicates that drugs and alcohol were not a factor.
According to authorities, the tragic incident occurred on Interstate 5 at around 1:40 a.m. on Saturday morning. As reported by ABC News, surveillance footage shows a white 2013 Jaguar driving at a high speed down the protester-blocked freeway, which the driver had reportedly entered by going the wrong way on an exit ramp. The vehicle swerves around cars blocking the lanes and plows directly into two protesters, sending them flying into the air, both landing violently on the pavement.
Kelete allegedly continued to drive for another mile until he was forced to pull over by a protester.
According to court documents, Kelete was “reserved and sullen when he was arrested,” reports ABC 7. He also asked if the two protesters were alright.

“Very candidly, we don’t know, at this point in the investigation, what the motive was, what the reasoning was,” Washington State Patrol Capt. Ron Mead said.
The Daily Wire continues:
ABC7 reports that Kelete is listed in public records as having attended Washington State University between 2011 and 2017, majoring in business and commerce. Heavy notes that the jail booking described Kelete as “black,” having worked for DoorDash in 2015-2016, and “lists his language skills as including Tigrinya,” a language spoken in Eritrea and northern Ethiopia.
Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan (D) announced details of the ultimately fatal incident Saturday morning on Twitter.
“Early this morning two women were hit by a car and very seriously injured while peacefully protesting. Many others were almost hit and witnessed this horrific event. Our city stands beside their friends, families and loved ones in praying for these women and all who were there,” Durkan said on Saturday morning. “No one should risk their life for demanding better from our city, state and country,” said Durkan who has supported the violent protests and riots in his local area. “Washington State Patrol is leading the investigation and they have assured us they are quickly and thoroughly investigating the incident. I have offered any city resources needed.”
