In the following area, please explain in a total of 100 words or less, your top two or three priorities if elected. If they require additional funding for implementation, please explain how you would obtain this funding.
- I believe we are heading for an access and availability issue for healthcare in rural NH. We have been losing the independent physicians who used to serve as the primary care providers in all our towns. Our hospitals are losing money and cutting back on services. Meanwhile people are getting older and needing more care. Due to my experience as an independent physician, a hospital trustee and treasurer, and a public health officer, I believe I am uniquely qualified to advocate for rural healthcare in Concord as the healthcare system consolidates.
